The Calm Before the Norm

This may come as a surprise, but I am not always busy. On the contrary, there are entire weeks when I’m left floating the sea of life with no winds to guide me and my calendar remains ink-less. I can handle the crazy-busy days of juggling schedules quite well. I ENJOY the crazy. But the days of nothing? Those are my challenge.

Today I’m floating, waiting, wondering.

Not bored. My mother taught me that to claim boredom ensures the most unwelcome of chores. Just waiting.

So today, Cait, who is incredibly close to completing her school year, will work on lessons… when I finally wake her up! And me? I will grade papers, do laundry, clean house, play with dogs, organize something, do a little bookkeeping for the business… and try my best to enjoy the stillness. After all, it never lasts long.

This doesn’t sound like you have nothing to do!
Totally feel ya on the days I am not totally booked doing something!

i don’t ever have those days. My to do list is constantly growing, but some days my lack of time management skills gets the best of me and I’m moving around like a chicken with my head cut off!
